As your impending labor approaches, it is normal to have some apprehension, specifically about labor pain and the ability to maintain a certain level of control. Although, we tend to focus on how to get through the hardest part of labor, there are things we can do before the active (hard) phase begins that can help or hinder us. Learn what to do, and what to avoid during every phase of labor.

- Prodromal labor; how to avert the largest contributor to maternal/fetal exhaustion
- Early labor; what to do when labor becomes uncomfortable, but it is too early to call the midwife
- Active labor; the essentials in pain management
- After labor; just when you thought it was over
